The list of forthcoming PS5 games is becoming more and more exciting as we’re approaching the PS5 launch day. Sony’s recent Future of Gaming showcase added so many new titles like Resident Evil 8, Horizon Forbidden West, a new Ratchet and Clank, and also Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
No matter if you like tucking into a huge expansive RPG or enjoying your fill of energy in an FPS, we know that PS5 load time will very short because of the built-in integration of the latest SSD. Also, the updates will go faster without long copying.
We still have to wait until the official launch in late 2020 during the Holiday release date window, still, with the newest announcements, you have lots of reasons to start getting excited.
Dirt 5
Publisher: Codemasters
Developer: Codemasters
Release date: October 2020
Dirt 5’s career mode will allow players to pick from various events all over the world: places like New York or Greece wait for you along with customizable rally calls, trucks, rock bouncers, and so on. There are options to play on your own, online, or in split-screen multiplayer (up to 4 players).
Godfall
Publisher: Gearbox
Developer: Counterplay Games
Release date: Holiday 2020
Gearbox was one of the first developers who announced an upcoming PS5 game called Godfall. Likely building on the publisher’s reputation with Borderlands, Godfall is a third-person action RPG. It’s built around co-operative gameplay – but it’s possible to play solo, too. There are knights and magic, so it sounds amazing – think Borderlands with swords.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Developer: Insomniac Games
Release date: Holiday 2020
That’s right, Miles Morales is making his way onto the PS5 in another Spider-Man adventure. Initially, it was unclear whether Miles would be starring in an extended remaster of the 2018 game, Insomniac confirmes Miles Morales will be a standalone game. Recently we got to have a look at the new Spider-Man in action in a trailer, and we can’t wait to know more.
Outriders
Publisher: Square Enix
Developer: People Can Fly
Release date: Holiday 2020
What will you get if you mix Doom and Mass Effect? It seems to be Outriders, a new IP from People Can Fly published by Square Enix. It’s about wicked alien forces confronting desperate to survive humans. But it’s not so simple. Humanity is attempting to inhabit the planet Enoch after the Earth is rendered strange energy storm, which they call The Anomaly. It has given them all superhuman abilities.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Publisher: Ubisoft
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Release date: Holiday 2020
This new Assasin’s Creed adventure is almost here. This time, it will send us to the past as Viking assassin Eivor. Building on the RPG elements introduced by the previous games from the series, you’ll be given dialogue options, character customization (tattoos, and hairstyles), as well as lots of weapons. You’ll find yourself in the 9th century in Norway and England spending most of your time springing and climbing across four kingdoms in the UK.
Deathloop
Publisher: Bethesda
Developer: Arkane Lyon
Release date: Holiday 2020
During Sony’s Future of Gaming show, we got to see Deathloop gameplay, and it seems like it’s going to deliver some assassinating action combined with Ground Hog Day vibes. From the developer of the Dishonored series, in this game, there are two competing assassins trapped in a time loop, and they have eight targets to kill. One of the assassins called Colt is determined to take out the targets, while Juliana seems to want to defend them. We will see first-person fights with lots of supernatural-looking details. Right now it’s set to be a timed exclusive for PS5, and it will be coming to PC as well.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Developer: Ember Lab
Release date: Holiday 2020
Founders of Ember Lab studio brothers Josh and Mike Grier presented their upcoming game Kena: Bridge of Spirits during Sony’s showcase, and it seems magical. Because of its fascinating world full of cute tiny fuzzy beings known as Rot (your spirit companions), the game immediately provoked our interest. Even though we don’t know a lot about it yet, it’s described as a story-driven action-adventure, which sounds amazing.
