PlayStation Now (PS4, PC)
Sony also has one of the best first-party video games available, but you previously needed to purchase one of the company’s consoles to enjoy them. With PlayStation Now, you can access a wide range of exclusive PlayStation games from your PC or PlayStation 4.
On PC, all you need now is a DualShock 4 controller with either a wireless adapter or USB mini cable, and also a PlayStation Network account and at least 5Mbps of internet download speed. PlayStation 4 users need the same internet speed on their game console, and you’re able to play the best PlayStation exclusives with either a seven-day free trial or a paid subscription. For PS4 players, even if you have not subscribed to PlayStation Plus, a PlayStation Now subscription provides complete access to multiplayer support. The files you save will be working with both your PC and PS4.
Thanks to a collaboration between parent company Sony and Microsoft, PlayStation Now also looks to be having a future update. The two businesses will collaborate to incorporate Microsoft’s Azure cloud technology into Sony’s streaming and AI services, the same technology powering Project xCloud. At this time, the exact effect this would have on PlayStation Now remains unknown, but the data centers of Microsoft outweigh those currently used by PlayStation Now.
