Top-4 TVs for Gaming for Your PS4 and Xbox One

If you’re searching for a new screen, you should consider good gaming TV for your home. New TVs have gaming modes and with almost without fail now, but they also have lots of other great features. The best gaming TVs can be often found in lists of best TVs, usually, because they are great for watching movies, entertainment, and so on.

When choosing the best gaming TV, pay attention to several factors. First off, the TV is probably not going to be used for playing games only, so make sure it’s the right choice in terms of size, usability, and so on.  Obviously, the variety is very wide, and the price can rise to a ridiculous amount with premium TVs. While some of them won’t be worth it, the high-end models can take your experience to the next level visually thanks to extra detail and vibrancy.

You have to estimate your budget and the size of the television you want. You simply have to be sensible and know your limits.

1. LG OLED65E9PUA – 65-inch 4K TV

  • Size: 65 inches
  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Dimensions: 1440(w) x 810(h) x 220(d)mm
  • Tuner: Freeview/Freesat HD
  • Refresh Rate: 60Hz
  • Smart TV: Yes
  • Curved: No

+ Excellent black levels + Great picture quality and clarity + Built-in G-sync

– Still only 60Hz

– Pricey

If you have money to spend on a 4K TV, this is certainly the one to buy. OLEDs are excellent for gaming because they give users exceptional black levels and thin panels that display razor-sharp images. This is the TV with the most detailed pictures you can find, and the E9 series from LG is the best among the OLEDs. This panel provides you with a stable 60Hz refresh rate, which is fine for gaming. The design is great, and it has plenty of HDMIs to support many devices.

2. Samsung Q60R – 55 inch QLED 4K TV

  • Screen size: 55 inches
  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Dimensions: 1226(w) x 777(h) x 50(d)mm
  • Refresh Rate: 120 Hz
  • Smart TV: Yes
  • Curved: No

+ Vibrant picture

+ Very fast panel

+Lots of features

– Blacks not as deep as OLED

The popularity of Samsung’s 2018 Q6FN led to the newest model – the Q60R to be available in a broad variety of sizes, and a truly excellent price. For less than £1000 you can get this QLED panel, which offers the most vibrant pictures you can find. It’s also sharp, even though the black levels aren’t quite as good as LG’s OLED range. Despite not benefiting from some of the fancier features in the high-end Samsungs, the Q60R brings unbelievable HDR, a 120Hz refresh rate, and speakers surpassing standard TV audio.

All Samsung’s QLED TVs have solid Game Modes (for example, this model comes with Real Game Enhancer) that increase refresh rate to the maximum with the response rate to below 10ms. Besides, it has Freesync. The TV has voice control, the great Samsung Universal Guide and interface, as well as a collection of streaming services built into the TV.

3. Samsung UE55RU8000 – 55 inch 4K TV

All the rights belong to the original creator of the content
  • Screen size: 55 inches
  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Dimensions: 1226(w) x 710(h) x 54(d)mm
  • Refresh Rate: 120 Hz
  • Smart TV: Yes
  • Curved: No

+Brilliant value

+Very good uniformity for an LED

+Supports HDR10

– Black levels in dark aren’t great

This is a moderately priced LED that is a cracking mid-range performer. The RU8000 with its aggressively set price point, and the sub-10ms input lag, make this TV suitable for competitive gamers.

However, the black levels are worse than OLED screens, but, in this TV’s defense, general screen uniformity is great, without clouding or the smudginess. It’s not an exceptional HDR performer. This display supports HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma), which has to be noticed. So, if you aren’t very fussed about class-leading HDR performance, and you want an excellent, reasonably priced TV, this Samsung will be just right for you.

4. Hisense H50B7100UK – 50-inch 4K TV

All the rights belong to the original creator of the content
  • Screen size: 50 inches
  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Dimensions: 1127(w) x 656(h) x 86(d)mm
  • Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
  • Smart TV: Yes
  • Curved: No

+ Great value

+Lightweight

+Reliable un-flashy performance

– Needs calibration straight out of the box

– Pictures doesn’t compete with more premium models

This TV is perfect for those with a limited budget but who wants a beautiful 4K resolution. This 50-inch model is no worse than a budget option. It’s a 2019 model, and it has all the necessary bits and bobs.

Considering that the price is around £300, the pictures it provides are rather impressive and perfect for a 4K gaming experience.
